Description

"STOP" push button legend plate, 22 mm: white text on a red background, engraved so the wording lasts. A "STOP" legend plate gives operators a clear way to end a run.

For use on the stop push button of a start/stop station or MCC bucket.

Marks the button that stops a motor or process in the normal way. It is different from an emergency stop and usually returns the equipment to idle.

Where it's used: Commonly on start/stop stations, operator panels and motor control centers, next to the START button for the same motor or line.

  • Wording: "STOP" (1 line, bold lettering)
  • Fits: Standard 22 mm push buttons, selector switches and pilot lights; a plain round center hole for devices without an anti-rotation key.
  • Color: White text on a red background. White on red is the usual pick for stop, fire, emergency and shut-off functions.
  • Shape: A slim outline that keeps the plate narrow for tightly spaced devices, with room for 1 line of text.
  • Mounting: Slides over the operator and is held in place by the device itself once it is installed, so no adhesive or screws are needed.
  • Material: Two-ply engraving plastic. The wording is engraved through the top color to the contrasting core, so it can't rub off like printed ink.

If the station also has a mushroom-head emergency stop, keep the wording of the two clearly different. Usually ordered by panel builders, electricians and maintenance teams. Also called: stop button, motor stop, stop push button.
