The "WARNING / INVERTER OUTPUT CONNECTION / DO NOT RELOCATE THIS BREAKER" label marks the exact breaker that carries inverter power into the panel.
For use beside the backfed solar inverter breaker in a main or sub panel.
Identifies a breaker as the point where the solar inverter ties into the panel, and tells people not to move it to another position. Moving it can overload the busbar or defeat the way the panel was set up.
Where it's used: Placed beside or on the backfed breaker in the main or sub panel that receives inverter output, usually at the end of the bus opposite the incoming supply.
- Wording: "WARNING / INVERTER OUTPUT CONNECTION / DO NOT RELOCATE THIS BREAKER" (3 lines, bold lettering)
- Size: 4" × 2" (102 × 51 mm), the most popular size for equipment, panel and door labels.
- Color: Black text on an orange background. Black on orange is commonly used for warning-level markings and stands out on grey equipment.
- Mounting: Peel-and-stick industrial adhesive back with no holes. Clean and dry the surface, then press it firmly in place.
- Material: 1/16" (1.6 mm) two-ply engraving plastic with a matte finish. The wording is engraved through the top color to the contrasting core, so it can't rub off like printed ink.
- Corners: Square-cut corners and clean edges.
Mark the breaker position, not just the panel cover, so the label stays with the breaker when the cover is removed. Usually ordered by solar installers and electrical contractors. Also called: backfed breaker label, inverter breaker warning, do not relocate breaker label.
