Description
"WARNING / ELECTRIC SHOCK HAZARD / DO NOT TOUCH TERMINALS" label, 4" × 2": black text on an orange background, engraved so the wording lasts. The "WARNING / ELECTRIC SHOCK HAZARD / DO NOT TOUCH TERMINALS" label tells people to stay clear of live lugs.
For use on junction boxes, combiner boxes, disconnects and inverters with exposed terminals.
Warns that the terminals behind or beside this marking can shock a person who touches them. It tells the reader to keep hands off, and it applies even when the equipment looks switched off.
Where it's used: Found on junction boxes, combiner boxes, disconnect switches, inverters and other enclosures where exposed lugs or terminal blocks sit near an access point.
- Wording: "WARNING / ELECTRIC SHOCK HAZARD / DO NOT TOUCH TERMINALS" (3 lines, bold lettering)
- Size: 4" × 2" (102 × 51 mm), the most popular size for equipment, panel and door labels.
- Color: Black text on an orange background. Black on orange is commonly used for warning-level markings and stands out on grey equipment.
- Mounting: Peel-and-stick industrial adhesive back with no holes. Clean and dry the surface, then press it firmly in place.
- Material: 1/16" (1.6 mm) two-ply engraving plastic with a matte finish. The wording is engraved through the top color to the contrasting core, so it can't rub off like printed ink.
- Corners: Square-cut corners and clean edges.
Place it next to the terminals themselves where it can be read with the cover open, in addition to any label on the outside. Usually ordered by solar installers, electricians and equipment builders. Also called: do not touch terminals label, shock hazard terminals sign, terminal warning label.
This design is a starting point: press Customize to change the wording, color or size, then order as few or as many as you need. Made to order in Waterford, PA and on its way in 2–4 business days.
