Description
Engraved label reading "ELECTRIC SHOCK HAZARD / IF GROUND FAULT INDICATED / CONDUCTORS MAY BE ENERGIZED", 4" × 2", black text on an orange background. Use "ELECTRIC SHOCK HAZARD / IF GROUND FAULT INDICATED / CONDUCTORS MAY BE ENERGIZED" near inverters and DC disconnects.
For use on solar inverters, array disconnects and DC conductor entry points.
Says that when the system shows a ground fault, wires normally considered safe may be live. It tells the reader not to assume a conductor is dead just because it is usually grounded.
Where it's used: Typically placed on or near the inverter, the array disconnect and the point where DC conductors enter a building, especially on systems with ground-fault indicators.
- Wording: "ELECTRIC SHOCK HAZARD / IF GROUND FAULT INDICATED / CONDUCTORS MAY BE ENERGIZED" (3 lines, bold lettering)
- Size: 4" × 2" (102 × 51 mm), the most popular size for equipment, panel and door labels.
- Color: Black text on an orange background. Black on orange is commonly used for warning-level markings and stands out on grey equipment.
- Mounting: Peel-and-stick industrial adhesive back with no holes. Clean and dry the surface, then press it firmly in place.
- Material: 1/16" (1.6 mm) two-ply engraving plastic with a matte finish. The wording is engraved through the top color to the contrasting core, so it can't rub off like printed ink.
- Corners: Square-cut corners and clean edges.
Place it where the fault indicator is visible, so the warning and the alarm are seen together. Usually ordered by solar installers and electrical inspectors' contractors. Also called: ground fault warning label, PV shock hazard label, conductors energized label.
This design is a starting point: press Customize to change the wording, color or size, then order as few or as many as you need. Made to order in Waterford, PA and on its way in 2–4 business days.
